How to register Ejari
in Dubai — step by step
Ejari is Dubai's mandatory tenancy registration system. Every rental contract must be registered through it — without Ejari you cannot connect DEWA, renew a residency visa, or file a dispute. This guide walks you through the full process.

Option A — Online
2
Download Dubai REST and log in
Download the Dubai REST app (iOS or Android) or open the DLD website. Log in using your UAE Pass — the government digital ID app that verifies your Emirates ID.
No UAE Pass yet? Create one at uaepass.ae — you'll need your Emirates ID number and a selfie. Takes about 5 minutes.
3
Navigate to "Register Ejari"
Inside the app: tap Services → Real Estate Services → Ejari → Register Ejari. Enter your Emirates ID number when prompted.
4
Upload your documents
Upload photos or PDFs of each document. The system will extract details automatically. Check every field carefully before proceeding.
| Tenancy contract | Must use DLD standard format |
| Tenant Emirates ID | Front side, valid and not expired |
| Landlord Emirates ID | Or passport if non-UAE resident |
| Title Deed | Property address must match contract exactly |
| Previous Ejari certificate | Renewals only |
⚠️ The property address in your tenancy contract must exactly match the title deed. Even minor differences (e.g. "Apt" vs "Apartment") can cause rejection.
5
Pay the registration fee
Review all extracted details, then pay online. Accepted: credit/debit card, Apple Pay, Google Pay.
| Online (Dubai REST / DLD website) | AED 122.50 incl. VAT |
| Typing centre (walk-in) | AED 215–220 incl. VAT |
The fee is the same for new registration and renewal.
